HAPPY 133TH BIRTHDAY Dr. EINSTEIN!!!

On 14th March 1879, Albert Einstein was born, the son of a Jewish Electrical Engineer in Ulm, Germany. Einstein's theories of Special and General Relativity significantly altered our view of the universe, and his work in particle and energy theory helped make possible quantum mechanics and, ultimately the atomic bomb. He became a Swiss citizen and in 1905 was awarded a PhD from the University of Zurich while working at the Swiss patent office in Bern. That year which historians call as the annus mirabilis-the "miracle year" he published five theoretical papers that were to have a profound effect on the development of modern physics.

He is particularly known for theories like:
  1. Theory of Brownian motion:
  2. General and special relativity
  3. Mass-energy equivalence
  4. Bose-Einstein Statistics
  5. Photoelectric Effect
These are his main theories among the several other minor contributions he made to the modern science.

On this day, 14th March 2012, we, members of Physics de Pristine dedicate him our dearest BIRTHDAY wishes on the occasion of his 133th Birthday. He is a true inspiration for all budding scientists. We still cherish his dream of an unified theory of our universe, simple yet beautiful. He was unique in combining his scientific work with a struggle for peace which inspired people all over the world. No wonder that Time Magazine decided in 1999 that he was the 'person of the Century'.
